The Mittleider Gardening Book:

My Story and a Concise Review of the Mittleider Gardening Course Book

Hey, Keith here,

And you’re reading my story and uncensored review of what I really thought about the all-new Mittleider Gardening Book. It’s the one that looks like the blue one here.  (There have been previous versions with different covers.)

Note that this is a review though.  If you’re looking for the official Mittleider Gardening Book website, then click the link just below.

First, because I respect your time, please know that it will probably take you about 4 to 5 minutes to read this information.  But I think you’ll be pleased that you took the time!

Let me begin this review by telling you that if you’re looking for the best way to get your garden up to the level you’ve always wanted, then I’m glad you found this website and I strongly suggest you keep reading. Hopefully, what you’ll find here will save you countless hours of searching the internet or watching long  videos on the Mittleider Gardening Method on YouTube.  What you’ll find below is my garden-miracle story and you and your garden deserve to hear it!

My Story:

I’m going to try to keep this as short as possible, but to help you understand where I’m coming from, you’ll need a little background. You see, when my wife and I were first married, we rented an apartment and always dreamed of having a garden on our own property. It took a while to get there, so in the meantime, we grew just a few radishes and such in our “micro-garden” on our apartment porch. I know it sounds crazy, but we really did that. After a while, we were able to build our home. It has a nice yard — not a huge one mind you — but big enough to finally start a real garden, so we did! It was so exciting to start. We planted our seeds, watered, watched things grow, and in that small first garden, we managed to get a harvest. It was a small one, but to us, it was great.

Learning and Struggles:

As the years went on, we expanded each year in order to get more food out of our garden. Some years we did better and some we didn’t, but we always enjoyed the process. I have to tell you though — at one point in thinking about our garden, I said to myself there has to be a better way to do this! It felt like I was bumping into a gardening “glass ceiling.” I had the desire and the land and some know-how, and yes we did okay I suppose, but we weren’t getting the yields we wanted, we had endless weeds, and the tasks of hauling in and tilling leaves, mulch, and manure into our garden each fall was usually done in the cold and NOT enjoyable. When it got too cold, the garden would die and I’d have to remove all the plants on the verge of winter. Removing our plants from the cages was a huge task and I always found hidden produce that was usually past its prime. Other challenges included: 1) why did we have so many good-looking plants and that gave us so little fruit? 2) figuring out how to properly space plants to avoid crowding; 3) how to prevent/stop insects; 4) how to get all plant types to produce well; 5) how to know if soil is healthy and fertile without expensive and time-consuming testing. I had endless questions and I didn’t want to take a lifetime to find the answers.

So I thought I’d just keep learning by reading all I could about gardening — and as fast as possible. The library became my best friend! I actually remember being so excited about when they upped the borrowing limit from 30-50 books at one time! I’d bring home stacks of gardening books to find answers and hopefully put together the ultimate gardening system. But after all that effort, I’d try this new idea, and then another “proven method.” All of these failed me in one way or another. What I’d read seemed too complicated or just didn’t include enough detail. All I wanted was someone to describe step by step how they achieved the results they said they were getting.

Aha!

Eventually, I stumbled across something — The Mittleider Gardening Book — and it turned out to be exactly what I’d been looking for! I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t found it before in all my searching! It showed me the details and pictures — all of the how-to stuff that I couldn’t get from anywhere else. But, the one thing I didn’t like was that it was over 300 pages! I almost passed it by thinking it would probably be just like so many other huge gardening books — encyclopedias with very little practical information. I’m sure glad I didn’t! Why? Because…

Now we’re getting 5 times more food out of the same space and doing it more efficiently than ever before and taking care of our gardens is a delight!

We get PREDICTABLE and CONSISTENT RESULTS and we know how to handle any challenge that comes our way.

The Results:

Take a look at these before and after pictures of part of our garden.  The first picture is of our “traditional garden” before I found the Mittleider Gardening Book.  The second picture is of our Mittleider garden — of course after we implemented a few simple changes that we learned from the Mittleider book.  (Keep in mind these photos focus mainly on the tomato plants.)

Below: Here is our garden before — big plants, but not much fruit.

Below: Here is our garden now — HUGE yields in less space!!!

And I learned in the book how to build the most awesome thing ever — an automated watering system! The simple PVC pipes, (one is visible in the 2nd picture), are on a timer that waters the garden just the right amount, saving me a heck of a lot of time and water!

Now, of course, I built a grow-box garden — BUT, I didn’t have to. I found out that I didn’t need the boxes and T-frames to get the same yields. As long as the soil I’m growing in doesn’t have anything toxic in it, I can grow the same type of garden in my native, clay soil — it doesn’t matter if it’s the “worst clay soil” like mine or whatever.

Well anyway, I could go on and on but like I said, I was trying to keep this short. I hope the information I’ve shared helps you in some way. The Mittleider Gardening Book sure helped me… One thing is for sure, I love seeing how people react when they see our garden — they can’t believe their eyes, and the things they say are even better!

Here is the link to the official Mittleider Gardening Book website so that you can look more into the book itself or consider getting the electronic Mittleider Gardening Course Book PDF (which is sometimes known as the Mittleider Gardening ebook).  The book also comes as one of ten books in the Mittleider Gardening Library PDF.

Purpose of this Blog

9 Sep

In an effort to provide people all over the world with the information they may be seeking about the Jacob Mittleider Gardening Method which is fully outlined in simple details in the Mittleider Gardening Book, I have created this short blog to help shed some light on the subject.

With the increase in prepping and self-sufficiency measures that people are taking in these troubled times, it is no wonder that many who have heard of the unique and highly productive gardening techniques, (that were “discovered,” created, or consolidated and subsequently published by the late Dr. Jacob R. Mittleider), are looking to implement them.  But the questions that often linger in the minds of those who want a much-improved vegetable garden often revolve around these thoughts:

1) I have heard of the special Mittleider Gardening fertilizer recipe and want to learn more.

2) My neighbor keeps telling me that I should purchase and download the complete e-book of the Mittleider Gardening Course Book in PDF format or the Mittleider Gardening Library on CD-ROM.  This way I can save money and the cost of shipping and invest a little to find out more.  Should I take the plunge and purchase the Mittleider Gardening Book?

3) I’ve been researching the remarkable photos that others share of their Mittleider Gardens online, but haven’t yet achieved the same results – what am I missing?

Take a look at some of my other posts and also come back and visit again.  You might find it very irritating to read more about what I found out when I got the Mittleider Book for myself and starting my own high-production Mittleider garden — most likely you’ll be fascinated!
